Instructions are below for the completing the first course (BMR or Basic Military Requirements) with the Sea Cadets.  The League Cadet course is different.  The BMR is the same course used by the U.S. Navy.  For this reason, completing it within the Sea Cadet Program entitles you to an advanced rank after basic training if you decided to enlist in any of the Armed Services.

Completion of the BMR starts the clock on your promotions with the Sea Cadets so get started early.

1.  Enter the National Sea Cadet website:  http://compass.seacadets.org/

2.  Go to Cadet Advancement

3.  Select Basic Military Requirements

4.  Print out the first or desired assignment at the bottom of the page.

5.  Print out this answer sheet  Answer Sheet Blank 75.jpg

6.  Select the first or desired chapter online under Basic Military Requirements, read and look for answers to the questions in the assignment.

7.  Fill out the answer sheet

8.  Copy your answer sheet when you're done and keep the copy for yourself.

9.  Send the answer sheet to INST Branson, NSCC laura_branson2000@yahoo.com, or turn it in at the next drill.

Tip:  Keep track of the text page number for the assignment answers.  It will help you continue where you left off if don't complete an assignment at one sitting.
